It takes a special person to fill the boots of a volunteer firefighter and/or 1st aid personnel. Someone with a desire to do something important for the community. Someone with courage and dedication, who isn't afraid of hard work, and is willing to accept the challenge of a difficult job. It takes a person who considers respect and appreciation reward enough and who is glad to help. We have a very special demand for individuals living or working in this area. We might be able to fit you with a pair of boots.

If you are a resident of Rockaway Borough and are interested in volunteering for the Fire Department or the 1st Aid Squad please come to the Rockaway Borough Firehouse located at 1 East Main Street in Rockaway, NJ on Tuesday January 29, 2008 anytime from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. If you cannot attend that evening, but are interested in volunteering please call the Chief at 973-255-0659.
